First BGE Brisket

Options
Made my first brisket today, have to say it was pretty great! Tender, good smoke, fat rendered nicely. Overall good experience. 3 of us finished the 2 lb flat. Injected with a beef broth, worchestire, and Tabasco. Homemade rub, smoked for about 2 hours on 250 then wrapped with a couple tbsp of the injection for 3.5 more hours.

Any time you nail a flat is a great cook.  Congrats on the result-most excellent.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@dldawes1 the brisket was fantastic! It had great smoke flavor, the smoke ring wasn't huge but I think that's because the brisket was so small (2lbs and I wrapped halfway through). Overall was stoked with the results... Will be making again now with a bigger size brisket, and inevitably more guests.

@NPHuskerFL  you're absolutely right! Can't wait to do a whole brisket.

@bhedges1987 it was small, but next time will have to have more than 3 people to take on an 8-10 pounder!
