All joking aside, I'd have one right now, with a heaping topping of diced white onions on a Martin's potato roll bun.Ozzie_Isaac said:

@Ozzie_Isaac - truth be told, those gourmet delights are one of my favorite week day/end snack foods. Hit 'em with some mustard and away we go.
And regarding the complex cook -going direct with a less than fully involved bed of lump means wrestling with the local hot and cold spots, thus requiring a keen eye and feel for the heat. Not to mention the dexterity to adjust to the rapidly changing environment. Love me some grilled dogs.
Thanks for giving them their own stage tonight. Rightfully deserved.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I used some mustard and central grocer muffalata olive spread.
Yum! No plated pics though. The heathens her killed them.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I will go on record as saying the 1st time I did decent pork store hot dogs on my egg was enlightening. Even tube steaks are better on an egg. Basic burgers, no contest. I can hear my gasser rusting and crumbling as I type...
-
@yljkt - haven't read/heard the tube steak reference in several years. And I will not add the front end describers for another name, "...training aids!" But all in good fun...(You ever spend any time in the USN?)Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Dad and Uncle on Mom's side were in USN. I heard it all...and as a kid. Those guys could drink and say things that would make your head spin. When we wanted to get something questionable into Japan after home leave, we'd put it in the wife's luggage ... covered by her underwear. The Japanese wouldn't look paw through to look underneath.DoubleEgger said:There wasn't anything better in Dad's freezer?
We are presently using that same principle with Ozzie ... all the good stuff is hidden under packages like this:
Washington, IL > Queen Creek, AZ ... Two large eggs and an adopted Mini Max

I worked "like a dog" on these last night. They are so good though. Maverick Ranch Buffalo dogs.

Beautiful. I'm hoping with some practice I can master the art of the dog also.

Of course if you want to go gourmet then with a little fancy knife work you have seafood!

Eliminate the buns (bareback) and you make the entire process less complex.
