In my world that would be Faceplant and I am not there.  Not even the AF vortex will get me into that scene.  But I am old...

Yeah, I had someone tell me I just had to get on FB and could not imagine how I was not on it. "Managed 55 years so far without it. A few more years won't make any difference."

An ad appeared on FB showing Aaron Franklin making potato chips on an egg.  I think.  Maybe?

I wouldn't join Farcebook to watch Mr. Franklin (PBS.com does just fine) but I'll be honest, I've reconnected with some really great friends from high school via FB (and it's interesting to me that my friendships from high school are, in many ways, much stronger than the ones from college, the Air Force, and the music business).
I just need to figure out how to block the baby pics from "friends of friends" whom I don't know, ugh.

I saw a video online a year or two ago where Aaron was being interviewed by the America's Test Kitchen guy and Aaron had said he had a green egg in his garage unopened(at the time) and couldn't understand "how people get a good smoke by choking off the fire in the green egg," as opposed to his normal fire building/management technique. The America's Test Kitchen guy talked in amazement about how he used his own egg and set the temp, and walked away for an hour or two, and the temp was still where he left it.  I guess Aaron figured out the whole egg thing, and if he is teaching it in a public arena, maybe he's a convert....

No. He's not a convert by any stretch. Cooking chips with an open dome for a big appearance fee is way different than cooking getting good smoke over a smoldering fire. I love my eggs but ay- Ayron is100% right. It's not even close. (I love my eggs) :)
