Did I say Rabbit?

I think I got myself into a bit of a situation and need the help of the forum. Seems that I offer to cook some rabbit for a Canada day dinner for 10. One slight problem is that I have never cooked rabbit. That's why I'm here now asking for some pointers. I have two frozen rabbits. cut into 6 pieces each. I'm thinking braised in a DO but am open to any suggestions.

I've only had rabbit once in my life, and I was shocked at how good it was. I almost never run across it as a choice. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find yours?

If you do not hunt, look in your local Penny Pincher. There is someone who raises and sells rabbits in just about every county in the US. Another option is Piggly Wiggly. If they don't stock it, they will gladly order it.Hub said:If you don't mind me asking, where did you find yours?Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Seriously? Piggly Wiggly? I shop them occasionally but never thought of trying to find rabbit there. Do I just ask for the guy running the meat department?SGH said:

Yes sir. Just about all Piggly Wigglys stock rabbit. All kidding aside its right by the chicken feet. If your store does not stock it, they will gladly ship it from another store. The one in Wiggins and Escatawpa both keep it stocked year around.Hub said:
