News broke this morning that the NHL is going to come to Las Vegas, provided that the owner pays $500 million. Never seems a game live, but have heard that it is great. Sure will be good to have a professional team to get behind here.

One of the most entertaining sports to watch live. Big difference between tv and in person"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Agree with this, although large, HD TVs are closing the gap.WeberWho said:One of the most entertaining sports to watch live. Big difference between tv and in personLBGE

it's really, for me, the only sport I prefer live. A lot of stuff the camera just can't catch. All others I would rather watch at home.Apollo Beach, FL

Not to mention that Vegas will go ALL OUT for the fan experience. Not just because that's how they roll, but to lure other sports...Apollo Beach, FL

Agreed - and a big difference is the beer is not $10 at home.....Acn said:

@Wardster I feel the same about football, there is a lot going on during a play that cameras don't pick upWardster said:it's really, for me, the only sport I prefer live. A lot of stuff the camera just can't catch. All others I would rather watch at home.
@Jameson19 that may be in the future for us. Going to see how we like it live, I have never been able to get into it on tv.

I'm not looking forward to the terrible parking situation or $10 beers. That is gonna suckLarge BGE, Adjustable Rig, Small BGE, 2 BBQ Guru's, 18" WSM, Rockwood, Stage 3 Roush Mustang and a hot wife...

We used to have a local team - the Brass. Cheap as dirt tickets. Loved the smell of the ice. This is especially nice since our climate is inhospitable to water freezing. Almost got thrown out of there for some reason once or twice. This was way back in the day when I was wild. I'm a total pussycat now.

@Jameson19 my wife works at the university, I will probably end up parking there and catching a taxi or Uber over. I can't stand parking or driving on the strip.Jameson19 said:I'm not looking forward to the terrible parking situation or $10 beers. That is gonna suck
@nolaegghead I have lived in a couple places that had minor league teams. Never went to a game though. Hopefully the area can sustain this team, I think it can.nolaegghead said:We used to have a local team - the Brass. Cheap as dirt tickets. Loved the smell of the ice.
