I guess this is my "official intro" since it's my first thread that I've created. I've been around for a few weeks commenting on other posts. I've had my LBGE for about a month and I love it! I've cooked on it probably 20 times already. I should have bought one years ago! Although I'm new to the Egg, but not outdoor cooking, I'm looking forward to absorbing as much info from this boards as I can. We have a lot of seasoned vets, from what I can tell, that have great experiences to share.
So for my first post, I bring you a very simply 6lb Spatchcock chicken with Dizzy Dust, direct, raised on the oval AR. I'll post the completed pic when she's done
BTW, I'm a huge Colts and Hoosiers fan, so come football/NCAA basketball time I may occasionally talk some smack
And yeah, I just played the "man card" on with the 50 cal bottle opener. Now you all want one...

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Great opening post and cook. Well done.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Welcome aboard! Nice yardbird there. I've found that chicken from the egg is the juiciest I've ever been able to cook. I do my spatch chickens about 375 - 400 indirect, but like most things, there are different ways to get the same or similar results. I like your teams too; I'm also a Hoosiers fan/ alum and Colts fan.Greenwood, IN | XL BGE | Weber Genesis | Blackstone 28 | bunch of accessories
