Duck Covers

Anybody have any experience with Duck Covers. I am wanting to get a good cover for my Large but not wanting to pay in excess of $100 for it, especially when I have had them blow off my old gasser when it was windy never to be seen again. Not to bad of a price if I may say so though.

I've got a bunch of this brands covers for various patio things and have been very satisfied with them: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R4J5DVG?psc=1“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

I ordered a custom duck sized duck cover that should arrive Thursday. I'll report back when it arrives.

That's a great find. Thanks for sharing. I'll bookmark this one for when mine wears out or gets blown off.
And worth mentioning, not what I was expecting...

This is a custom sized cover. Not too impressed with the cut of it. I think I sent some decent measurments. -
@Texag06ish, if you don't mind, what did they charge you?
I don't think it looks bad. I'm guessing they default to making it several inches oversized so it goes on and off easily. Will probably look nicer when the wrinkles work their way out of it.

$100. It was expensive. I think that's why I was expecting a more exact fit.

I dunno, I think you did okay for the price. I get what you were expecting, but for truly snug custom fit I think you'd pay a good bit more.
Think of material costs and the amount of hours someone spent on that to design/cut/stitch. Even with your drawings they had to sit down and translate that to their materials and construction methods. There's not a lot of profit there. It ain't pretty, but it beats the hell out of a blue tarp!

@KiterTodd - you're a glass half full type dude. I appreciate that. Have a good day man.

I ordered a cover from the-cover-store.com . It will be delivered today so I can't speak to the quality yet...but it does have a 7 year warranty.

I prefer a bit larger for the covers on the eggs, it seems to be easier to deploy. I think it looks good, and it does the job. It will last a very long time.Texag06ish said:@KiterTodd - you're a glass half full type dude. I appreciate that. Have a good day man."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Yea. I put my blower on it and it didn't really move so that was a good sign.

Honestly, the worst looking portion is the part that covers the egg. It's way too big.

I have a duck cover for my egg cart. I built my cart to the dimensions of their cover. At the time I wasn't aware that they made custom covers. When the cover showed up it was 12" short. The dimensions weren't what they advertised. I contacted the company and they added the 12" at the bottom and replaced my cover for free.
As far as performance: it works well, but it does leak. I have a flat "prep" area in my cart. That area will see a little seep through. I imagine it's because it is flat because the rest of the cart/egg doesn't leak. Overall I'm happy considering the cost. $35.
