I'm not sure the 'Girls' would take kindly to a redhead here at the Chicken Ranch.

No shame in my game adding this my group.

I grabbed one as the first Costco road show came through Houston but a local dealer matched the price @350.00.
He said the smaller size was not a big seller and was happy to discount and move it out. Great cooker for the money.

Yeah, that's a great deal for sure.  I've had it for a couple weeks now but haven't cooked on it yet.  Looking to use it this weekend though.

Rather pay a bit more and have warranty then save a bit and be out of luck when something goes wrong. I paid $640 for my large egg with everything but sold it because I was afraid I would break something or something down the road would be faulty and I would lose all my $

i grabbed one last week at costco.  first cook on it was great.  im going to fab a screen cover for my lower vent door before using it again.  that is the only weakness so far for me since im in a dry climate and have a wooden deck

lol you just saved me some work!  i bought a small sheet of aluminum yesterday and some aluminum screening and was going to cut it to size, cut a couple of holes, then solder the screen to the back of it.  all in all about $10 and 2 hours of labor haha

its way too small  :(  back to the drawing board.  sucks because i like the size of the joe jr better than the mini max but i have to have that screen.  if i cant figure something out in the next week or so i will return it for a mini max.  i may contact kamado joe to see if they have a solution

    they were quick to respond:

Good Morning, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunatly, the joe jrs do not come with a screen on the bottom or an ash collector because they don't need them since they are so small. I have a jr as well and its on our patio, so any little sparks just go away before they hit the ground. I am so sorry it isnt working for you.

    So sorry,
happy to buy it from you if you dont return it.
It worked for me. Wonder who changed what. Do you have a large Egg? Wonder how close it might be. Might be easy to trim down. Or Medium.
    Thank you,
