Deep Dish CI Pizza (Thanks Carolina Q)

This wasn't on the grill, but I was pretty dang proud of this effort.   May try it on the grill next time but I was pretty sold on this one.    Dough http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2013/01/foolproof-pan-pizza-recipe.html

Sauce:
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter 
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • *3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, chopped 
  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 5 tablespoons fresh parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • salt and pepper to taste

    You can just hand me the whole pizza.  That looks amazing.  

    I have done pan pizza on the egg before and it is a fun cook and adds a little smoke flavor.  Aside from a little kiss of smoke, there is not much difference than in the oven.  


    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
