Let me first say, I wish for you all, to have an evening like here in the midlands of South Carolina.....mid 70s and a lite breeze. Just remarkable.
Listening to to some XMAS Deep Tracks Dylan playing at the moment and The Guess Who on deck. Doing some prep work while the MM is doin it's thing.
Love this time of year before the flys and bugs appear. Have the table set outside for dinner tonight. More to come!

The payoff comes week of July fourth. I can wear shoes for a week for the trip to the back of the in laws property and fresh blackberries.

I eat them right off of the briar. My wife makes jelly out of them too.northGAcock said:You eat them straight up or do you make jams and such?Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Straight up or cobbler. My wife's grandmother kept up in jams, sadly she passed a few years back in her mid 90s. My MIL and wife aren't much for cooking. I guess I could study up.

We have a couple of neiborhood patches along our walking path in the neighborhood. Always enjoy them in season. Never done any jellys or jams. Wif is a big fan of Raspberries. Love to make the track up into the NC mountains in August. We pick and she jams. Makes for some great eats over the winter....Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Nothing like a fun cook in nice weather. Wok on my friend.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Looking good! Great stir-fry and great weather. We had one heck of a hail storm here last night. Was going to egg a chicken, but decided on left overs from St. Patrick's day dinner. Stir-frying produces such good food for so little effort. Great job!

Thanks @Dredger Hard to believe we had such differing weather her in the state. Hope you landed OK.....we had one here a couple of years back and I had to get a new roof and major damage to the car.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

@northGAcock, yep we have a new roof courtesy of a huge hail storm a couple of years ago. Little early in the season to have this one checked again. Feel sure there are more hail storms to come yet. Weird, our trees put out blossoms on Saturday overnight and now a lot of them are off from the storm. Can't remember when they have bloomed in March. Gonna be a weird spring looks like. Was contemplating planting tomatoes since it's been so warm. Good thing we didn't. Will hold off for a few weeks. It's supposed to be in the 80's for the next few days. You guys will probably be in the 90's down there. Good egging weather.Large BGE
