So, I got my wife the 30 oz Yeti tumbler for her birthday, and it doesn't have a closing lid. She wanted a lid that has the little sliding plastic piece where you can open and close it. I did a quick search online and it doesn't appear that Yeti makes a closing lid, which surprised me. I did some looking and stumbled upon RTIC's website. I have heard several of you speak of them here, so I did some looking. They have a splash proof lid that opens and closes. They have a chat feature on their website, and the lady there assured me it would fit the Yeti tumbler. So, I ordered it there, even though it said it wouldn't ship until March 8th. I got a email confirmation after my order. Literally four minutes later, I got email saying my order shipped with a UPS tracking number. Two days later, lid in hand!

I know this is a long boring story about a $5 lid, but I will definitely do business with these guys again, and will probably be ordering some more tumblers and a cooler soon.

I think Yeti is making a closing lid this year.  Puzzling why they didn't before but still...

Well, I can't find it now but I thought they were.

Lit, I have a Yeti that is almost a year old and a few of the new RTIC's. The lids are interchangeable on mine. I do not have a splash proof lid but I'm sure they would be interchangeable as well.

Some would call this proof of rtic copying yeti. I call it standardization :)
