Thankful the company I work for observes Presidents Day. Enjoyed the day off just piddling around. Saw some BB in the garage freezer that needed to be used yesterday, so I thought it would make a nice meal!
Rubbed with dijon mustard (w/honey), then applied Oakridge Comp. pork rub (thanks @cazzy ).
Went 250° the entire time (roughly 4.5hrs) with Rockwood fuel, hickory, and apple for smoke. Brushing with apple juice and brown sugar. Near the end I added butter and more brown sugar. No sauce. Sauce was served on table if need be.
Wasn't going to post, but figured someone could benefit from it.
1 - Ribs on.
2 - Little smoke
3 - They're done
4 -
Thanks for looking!

If I had to interpret that last part, the meat wasn't fall off the bone, but you could bite and leave meat behind. The shorter part was a little over done for my liking, still good.------------------------------

Yes sir! Did a few odds and ends, took a nap, and ate. If only I could get paid to do that everyday.
Looking forward to the weekend for sure! Looks nice both Sat. and Sun.!

Looks great as usual Matt. Love the bark. I never really messed with mopping or adding butter and sugar but this cook as convinced me to at least try it. How often were you mopping? Did you wrap when you added the butter and sugar?Large and Small BGECentral, IL

For the butter and brown sugar, I only placed a piece of foil underneath the ribs to hold the moisture in. I didn't add another piece to the top, but folded over slightly (if this makes sense).------------------------------

great looking ribs.... one question matt. on your origional post you said you found the ribs in the freezer on you day off that needed to be cooked.... did you put them on the egg before they were thawed out. I always put them in the refrig and wait for them to get thawed, which always takes over night. Can they be put on the egg sooner or did I mis-read you post....
again great looking ribs
