Over Super Bowl weekend, I had three different friends, each from different time zones ask me about where they can go and check out an egg. I can tell them in my area but was curious about if there were some shops worth me putting on the short list of places to mention.

Probably the first filter should be this question to the owner; "Do you cook on a BGE?"
We travel quite a bit and I enjoy checking out BBQ dealerships. Some of the best are managed by folks who use the product they sell. Lindy's, my local dealer, has three family members who own and use an egg. @pgprescott owns and uses an egg ... stop and see his store in Sterling ... he stocks a wider variety of BGE stuff and accessories than any other place I've visited. Stopped at a store in northern Tucson ... told the owner I lived out of state and was just looking ... she spent 45 minutes just talking about cooking on an egg. All own and use eggs and are impressive dealers.

Another vote for Dizzy Pig. They grind and blend all their rubs onsite and smell alone is worth the visit. They also have all the BGE accessories you could ever need as well as all the tools of the trade for outdoor cooking and competing. But the best thing about the place is the people. Everyone on staff is an experienced EGGer and enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. If you're even near the DC metro area, take a ride out 66 west and visit Dizzy Pig.

And another....I found Dizzy Pig after moving into the area and needed supplies for my egg. Store was small ( a small part of their rub mfg building) but had nearly everything one would need, if they don't have it they will either get it for you or help guide you. Staff is very knowledgeable in all that is grilling not just the equipment but methods as well. All that being said I would not call the. My "favorite Egg dealer". They are the only Egg Dealer I use.
