How bout some Steak with that Loaded Potato

Tonight supper was steak and loaded baked tater.  Couple of good sized spuds rubbed with EVOO and rolled in salt on the small @450 indirect

Mrs 3969 wanted steamed veggies so I fired up the rice cooker to steam some carrots, broccoli and cauliflower

Couple of Strip Steaks that have been salted for bout 2hrs.  Nothing special but they got cooked on the mini at about 650°. No pics but where else would I cook a steak?

I wasnt to into the steamed veggies tonight so I chopped some of the broccoli to go with the cheddar, chives, bacon and sour cream that was destined for a baked tater.  The steak was great but the potato stole the show.

Excellent, great looking meal, I love bakers rolled in salt, hard to beat that combo.

Very nice meal you made there. I made a first wok cook.... Inspired by you and @tarheelmatt. Thanks to you both for your inspiration.

Oh my - that's a fine meal my friend. As good as that steak looks, the potato looks even better. Well done.

    Thank you @ScottNC

@northGAcock - thank you. Glad your stir fry went well.  Did you post pics? I hope I didn't miss it.

@SciAggie - the potato definitely stole the show. For some reason the steak hit temp before it got any crust    Thank you for the compliment.

  • Looks good, but should've used the diamond plate. That would put it over the top.

No you don't.  We had both grandkids at the same time for the first time last night.  We are both a worn out and wouldn't be much fun. Lol.

Like that tater, my Mom used to add veggies to her baked spuds, Dad always said, give me one of those, hold the veggies and double the bacon.
