Years ago my dealer had one and could never sell it - too pricey for what it was. Finally he marked it down to 10 bucks and moved it at an eggfest!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I've got one. I paid full price. I'm not proud of it. When I got a bonus from work and the green light from SWMBO to buy the egg I picked up everything in the store that looked potentially useful...

This is my choice over the dragon at half the price. Reason I like the FiAir is the deadman switch. If I'm not there using it it's not blowing! I'm afraid I might turn on the other unit, walk away and return to find an inferno.

Would a hair dryer work just as good? Except for hassle of getting out extension cord!Central Valley CA One large egg One chocolate lab "Halle" two chiuahuas "Skittles and PeeWee"

Never have understood the need to use after market items to start the egg. I literally spend less than 10 seconds starting my egg and exactly 0 seconds fooling with anything to get it going afterwards.Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

Sure - as well as a cheap heat gun from Harbor Freight, but you nailed the hassle of running the cord. The battery operated units don't eat up batteries as fast as you might think.jabam said:Would a hair dryer work just as good? That's why I use a torch

After seeing you post about this, I got one for when I need to ramp up the fire really quick. Use it for 1 to 2 minutes and the fire really gets going.RRP said:This is my choice over the dragon at half the price. Reason I like the FiAir is the deadman switch. @jabam A hair dryer works great. I recycled an old one with a bad heating element. I'd use it if I didn't have to run an extension cord.Cooking on an XL and Medium in Bethesda, MD. -
This costs 5 bucks more than what I snagged my dragon for. I only use it when I want an inferno, quickly.RRP said:This is my choice over the dragon at half the price. I use a cheap fireplace bellows when I want the fire to get ready a bit quicker. No cord, no batteries.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk
