Suggestions for online CI/DO please

I'm wanting to get some small CI/DO to use on my egg. Any suggestions for a good online seller with good pricing and quick shipping? Any decent stores are over an hour away. And yes, YukonRon, I am painfully aware of the financial downfall that the M I was gifted 2 years ago, is heading me towards. This accessory, lump, that accessory, more lump, thermo-pen, yet more lump, mavericks, getting low on lump again, need a bigger egg, wow- now I need lots more lump, build a better cooking area, need some better pots and pans, maybe a bunch of lump, etc....... You're right, it never ends. These sores are getting raw, so no salt please.

I'm out in the sticks in Northern Ky. 60 miles to each of Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnatti. Nothing available locally. Kroger has nothing and the closest Walmart is a joke. The disparaging remarks I see on here about Ky. pain me deeply, because I see it every day.henapple said:Where are you?Tommy

If you are not in a hurry, check Jet, Overstock, Woot and Amazon for when they have big sales. Also check all the big outdoor suppliers like Cabelas, Academy, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, etc, etc. Even Home Depot and Lowes. It's not everyday, but if you scan all the above occasionally, you can score some nice deals from all of them from time to time.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

I know little, maybe less than that, about cooking. Perhaps I'm wanting something not available. Don't want to use my wife's pots and pans on the eggs. If I ever stained/scratched one, I'd never hear the end. So I'm wanting some tuff stuff in smaller sizes. I was hoping to find some small CI stuff. Maybe 2 or 3 quarts for cooking small quantities. Wife is gone, and I needed something to cook a can of green beans last night. Couldn't find anything, so I opened the top, stuck a piece of bacon in it, and set in the egg with a steak and skillet of fried potatoes. A small pot would have been nice.

@FarmerTom
If you are looking for something small, Walmart carries the 5 quart for less than 40 bucks.

Anybody know anything about Bayou Classic CI? Looked at several places suggested here but couldn't find as small as I wanted. Ended up ordering a 2 and a 4 qt. from that store I hate to hear my wife utter, "Bed, Bath, and Beyond". Will hear about this for a while.
That should keep me for a bit. May have to hit the Hwy 127 junk sale this August and see if I can find any good used buys. Runs the length of our county. We see folks from Mich. to Alabama traveling this thing. If the rest of 127 is as full of junk as it is in our county, then it truly is the worlds biggest yard sale.Tommy

@FarmerTom - I know it's just one man talking here, but the BC is kind of hit or miss. You may get a great one, you may get a dud. There isn't much quality control as its all made in China. With that said, I have a giant turkey roaster made by BC. The first one I ordered arrived broken. I returned it. The second one arrived cracked. I returned it. The third one was a home run. Have been using it for several years with no issues or complaints. If you get lucky and get a good one, it's as good as anything currently out there.

My first choice is vintage stuff. For new I like Lodge.
Each time I think I've got all the CI I'm every going to need something comes up. Found out I "need" a 7 quart DO for cheese making. Found out the 4 quart DO is what is "recommended" for artisan bread.
Oh, and a wok, and that's all I need....Phoenix -
When I bought my 5 quart DO I went through wallmart and it was 35$ I'm pretty sure they ship free if your order is over 50$
