A nice 24oz fat ribeye and asparagus waiting for the egg to heat up in the dark.. Basic kosher salt and coarse back pepper covering.. And of course liquid libation for my attempted reverse sear.. My plan is 250 until 125, pull and raise her to 500-600 and sear for 1 minute on each side for a mid rare.. Wish me luck

It's not too bad.. First time trying it and it's a little too sweet than I normally like.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:How do you like that Banana Bread Beer. Not a fan. I tried to like it. Was just too much bananas.

Will you do that direct or indirect before you do the direct sear?
Small world, I just did the two min flip, two min, flip, shut egg down and let it cook in there for four minutes method.
Came me out great, but I forgot the picturesA Lonely Single Large Egg

I did the initial cook indirect, pulled the plate setter, added the cast iron grate and seared at 550

Ha! 24 oz is perfect for SGH or for two at my house. As already stated, "nailed it."
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

That's a nice steak. Great color and cooked just the way I like. Kudos my friend.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Looks terrific!! That steak is perfection. I like the banana bread beer as well. It has a sister -- Young's Double Chocolate Stout, which is one of my favorites. Great British beer.

A great application of the egg.
