Yep. Grab them at the thighs, thumb and forefinger around the waist. Whack their head against the edge of the table 2-3 time to you knew they were dead. Eyes bulging, tongue out and stuff... Then we took a razor blade and cut the skin around their "waist". Once they were all processed like that, one person would hold the body, and the other would grab hold of the skin on the front and back of the body, and pull the skin off like pants - as @Canugghead stated. Then cut as you see in the picture above and make sure the a$$ was cut out. Then cook as desired.Canugghead said:
We didn't get a chance to butcher them though, I think she would chop the head and strip the skin like how you take off your pants

I remember my first frog legs when I was probably 11 or 12 years old and very naive. A buddy and I would go to the "city park pond" with our bows and arrows as well as gigging forks mounted on old kitchen broom handles. I remember how lucky we were getting two frogs at a time with an arrow. When they were "going piggy back"
as we called it frogs were not very alert when they were doing that at the water's edge and TWANG and the arrow would nail 2! LOL Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -

I've seen the boys on Duck Dynasty go frog gigging, so it must be good. Had a taste of them at a restaurant a year ago, but didn't care for how they were prepared. I felt they could have been better. Before that, I had them over 35 years ago. It was on a family fishing vacation in Canada, way northeast of Toronto in a fishing camp. They would go gigging for bull frogs at night, and we ate them pan fried.
