Stuff them with chicken salad for apps.

I've never cooked with them, just used them for different apps or slivered them and used to garnish grilled fish or things like that.

My favorite way to use peppadews (which are amazing) is to stuff them not with cream cheese but either an herbed goat cheese or Boursin.  I don't cook with them.

  • I chop them up and mix them with the cream cheese / green chilies mixture for Pig Shots.  I also add a little shredded cheddar as well.

I do this often. Add herbs to goat cheese, then drizzle with balsamic glaze. Good apps.

I like the prosciutto idea. But, then, I'll eat a pig's skull if it's wrapped in prosciutto.

I'll refrain from making some lame Oprah reference.

    Doh...

My family has a few places over on Thompson Point... As for the peppadews maybe with pork chops and potatoes in place of regular vinegar peppers. Or mixed with cream cheese and sour cream as a dip.

  • I spent an unreasonable amount of time around Sebago in my post-undergrad years when in between work projects, mostly drinking beer, waterskiing, and hitting on summer people's daughters. I do miss Maine.

Sorry to hijack, OP, I've just been wanting to comment on his sig for a while.

Thompson Point on Sebago, if you head down the channel it's a cove on the left before heading to the Songo.... You have more than likely fished in there... Locals call it the bayou.

never realized that was thompson point too, state beach to the left, point to the right, probably the best salmon fishing in the state after ice out. they have probably seen my boat pass by 50,000 plus times =)

My family always referred to it as the "bog" as the water is murky and there are a lot of weeds, but nice and calm to dock the boat... You've probably driven by us on the sandbar many times...although it's been turning into spring break the last few summers...

Are you able to find these locally or do you have to buy online?  I couldn't find any kind of "locator" on their website.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
