Fellow Egger met in Restaurant Depot

Met a guy in restaurant depot while looking for a pizza tool.  He mentioned you should try a pizza on a BGE.  I mentioned I just got an xl & his eyes lit up like Xmas tree.  He said he has an xl for 5 years & it's great.  We were two grown men talking about our eggs like two teenage boys talking about _____.  Let people fill in the blanks.  Had to look very strange to everyone else.  He mentioned to make chocolate chip cookies after the pizzas, people love them.

I have yet to make chocolate chip cookies on the Egg, but I did make a batch of brownies in a cast iron pan that turned out pretty amazing.
Please post pics of the cookies when you do this.

I got a salt block for Christmas and have mad cookies on it twice already. im making ribs now and plan on heating the block up for round 3 when they're done.

Same me premise holds for making them on a pizza stone after pizza.  Your stone should be plenty hot already.

Ive had the best results around 400. But I imagine you could adjust your cooking time at higher temps.

We just use parchment paper to avoid any sticking or cleanup. Nothing different. Setup like pizza with plate setter, grate, and then stone. Bam.

@Shesgoteggs, I've never egged cookies, but brownies are far better on the egg than any I've ever done in the oven. Indirect, spacers, whatever temp is called for.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Pete, I don't even use parchment paper. Just strait on the stone then bake. Who are we kidding most of them never get a chance to cool down before they get gobbled up.
