The mothership sells them for $3400. I'd buy a nice offset or vertical cabinet before I bought a XXL.

Agree with @DoubleEgger get a nice cabinet unit. @cazzy or @SGH could point you in the right direction.

My dealer has one of the first 1000 built and is selling it for $3800 or so.  Comes with nest and plate setter.  Normally around $5000, you can by a really nice sticker burner for that, that will cook a lot more or you could buy 3 XL's and have money left over.    They are more of a novelty to me for what they cost.

Agreed. If I was going to drop that much coin on another cooker it sure wouldn't be an XXL.

Hey, @badinfluence has one. I saw a post last week or two with another guy cooking on one.

If I had the coin I would get one just to have one.

They peg the cool factor.  I would cook on a mini-max inside of it.

In my humble opinion, if you were into making massive loads of bread, the XXL would be a tough act to follow and near the ideal rig. However for cooking meat, when you consider capacity versus price, there are many cabinets and offsets on the market that will easily run circles around the XXL and best it's performance in every category that matters. This is not me being a a$$ or a jack wagon. I'm merely stating the facts on the subject.

  • Expect to pay 4000.00 delivered with egg, nest, plate setter, and side tables, and handler. Make SURE they deliver it. My dealer delivered and assembled it on sight and it is over 500lbs.

If if I had to do it over again would I have bought it? Hell yes! Why you ask? Cuz I have one and you don't....lol now the 12' inflatable mr egghead was something that I regret buying the most.

As said before you cand get a decent cabinet or offset cooker for about the same price that would be a better investment.

I am guessing I could fit about 7 butts on the XXL, but when I'm cooking that much meat I fire up the meat monster that I can fit 36 butts on in a pinch. Never have cooked over 20 so I have not tried cooking on the bottom rack yet which is good as it is a booger removing both upper racks to get to the bottom rack anyways.
