I'm making a couple of pork tenderloins (the little skinny ones) to take on the boat tomorrow, and I'm making some tandoori chicken for dinner. Mmmmm[p]I'll take pictures later...

  • AlaskanC,
Good question! I'm thinking of starting a brisket with a rub of my own concoction Saturday morning and doing a couple of beer can chickens on Sunday. The "well developed" Tecquila Limes got me thinking, and then I decided to cook chickens![p]Good luck with the tenderloins![p]Joe

    AlaskanC,
Well tomorrow I'm cooking in a jambalaya contest, but not using the egg since the pot is bigger than a large. But on Sunday I have a brisket flat that's just can't wait to jump in the egg! Today was 10 to 15 count shrimp done simple. Butter and lemon marinade, little salt and pepper, then grilled direct till done on the large.

    AlaskanC,
Got two full racks of spare ribs. Both covered with mustard. One covered with Dizzy Dust, the other cut in half with half Swamp Venom, the other half in Red Eye Express. The leftover pieces from cutting St Louis style are covered with Jamaican Firewalk - and no mustard.[p]Plan on doing those 3/1.5/1 and finishing with sides of Two Big Dogs sauce, and something a little sweeter.
Sides will be Dr BBQ's beans, grilled corn on the cob with butter and Old Bay Seasoning, and ABT's with Old Bay and crab meat. Will probably make some tater salad too.[p]That's the plan. Hoping these flash flood warnings for Maryland go away by then...

  • Not cooking this weekend... Jimmy Buffett in Charlotte. Guess we'll just have to eat out and drink margarita's all weekend! Enjoy... sounds good![p]Lisa

    AlaskanC,
My daughter and son in law are coming in for babybacks and seafood bisque and sweet corn. Amazing what you have to cook to see your grand kids. -RP

I have two butts on now that started cooking a couple of hours ago. Tomorrow is my fire department's annual cleanup day - a day where we spend all day cleaning things up, throwing out junk and making the firehouse a nicer place. There's usually hamburgers and hotdogs when we're done, and I'm bringing pulled pork. [p]I'm planning to put the butts in a warm oven in a foil tray and pulling them around noon or 1:00. I've brought barbecue to the firehouse a couple of times and everyone there always devours it when I do.
