Brother I have been meaning to try them for over a year myself. I have cooked tons of shrimp, but not the green lightning version. That's about to change real soon.theyolksonyou said:I keep telling myself I'm gonna make these.

@Grillmagic -- those look amazing!Chubbs said:I assume this is @NecessaryIndulg recipe? great recipe and one of my favorite ways to cook shrimp
@Chubbs-- It's one of my favorite ways, too! The original recipe is by Steven Raichlen. The only change I made is I don't add lime juice to the marinade. I think the acid from the lime breaks down the shrimp too much and causes them to be a tad mushy.
THIS is how I do them from now on.I'm Kristi ~ Live in FL ~ BGE since 2003.

Hi Ron this is the way I prepared them and also did not use the lime until they went on the grill http://necessaryindulgences.com/2013/05/green-lightning-shrimp/RRP said:Looks tasty, Chuck. Mind posting the recipe or a link? Are you going to be home for Christmas this year?

I'm well aware I could have searched, but knowing how creative Chuck can be I thought maybe he did something special or different. In addition no search engine could have answered my second question to Chuck about Christmas. And Happy Holidays to you, HeavyG.HeavyG said:

@Grillmagic
I did this last night on some chicken. I cut it in small strips and marinated it. then skewered and grilled and did the baste while cooking.
It was awesome.Memphis TN - Large Green Egg -
Great recipe. One of our favorites. Need to do it again. Only thing we do differently is to cook them in a grill basket cuz I'm too lazy to skewer them most times. Or I can't find my skewers.
