MPDs first time

Going over to meet some friends to play 42 this evening. I wanted to bring something special so - MPDs. Never made them before but why should that stop me?
Rinsed the jalapeños. Let them roll on the counter to find a natural resting point; then sliced off a piece to make a little "boat."
filled the peppers with Riesen chocolate covered caramel and maraschino cherries. Wrapped in bacon and on the egg. Cooking indirect at 350 degrees.  Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

That seems a little twisted - in a good way.

Let us know how they turned out - sounds like something to try.

What does MPD stand for, and how is it different than ABT?

    Thanks!

Sorry I'm late with the finish. No panties were dropped but they were well received by the folks. I would suggest partially precooking the bacon to cut down the time on the grill.

I had to search the archives for that answer when I first heard about them. It stands for "Mexican Panty Dropper." Hey - I didn't name them...

"Mexican Panty Droppers???"  Holy Toledo!  And I thought "Atomic Buffalo Turds" was a bit off-color...  Thanks for letting me know, though.

Is there an official difference between MPDs and ABTs, or are they both just names for any variation of Jalapeno Poppers?

@Theophan My personal definition of jalepeno poppers or ABTs is bacon wrapped jalepeno stuffed with cream cheese. I think the sweet chocolate filling justifies differentiation. YMMV
