is it brisket at all? Is it worh cooking ? How do you eat it? So many questions.
I haven't done a regular brisket yet, I just love steaks too much to spend too much money on a brisket to screw up.
i know there are other threads about it, but hey... It's Friday...

boil it.
Or soak it for 12 hours to get some of the salt out, then coat with coriander and pepper and smoke it. It's salted to boil - much of the salt flavors the broth. If you were to smoke as-is, it would be incredibly salty. So the soak.

The latter is called "pastrami".

So do you love it thin like sandwich meat? Or can you eat it by itself like brisket?

Yes and yesSoutheast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
It's good both ways. I wouldn't cut it too thin if you're cutting it hot.

As already mentioned pastrami if you have the time.

I did one last year for St. Pats day. It was a 17 lb point I bought at Restaurant Depot. No soak, rubbed with black pepper and Coriander, then smoked. Here is a link to the post. it was excellent.

Corned beef is made from brisket but it is cured and is really a different thing than a brisket you would smoke for BBQ. Think "deli" instead of "BBQ". The most popular use of corned beef is probably a Reuben sammich (forgive me if I am stating the obvious).Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Actually it's a dish called "corned beef" typically served with cabbage.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Try this if you have time.
I have no regrets, having done it several times.

I do a Montreal smoked meat brisket and its delicious. You can do a dry or wet brine to the brisket then smoke it. Heres a picture of one of the ones I did.
I love steak too but smoked meat is to die for. -
We love corned beef, it's one out of favorites! We sous vide it for about 8 hours and it comes out fork tender and delicious. Hit it with the torch and it's perfect.
