Heading to Columbia SC this weekend to visit my nephew and go to the Gators game. Any suggestions on good BBQ or other attractions in the area? Thanks!

If you get a chance, try "2 Fat 2 Fly"'s stuffed chicken wings. They're located right by the stadium. Also Pawley's Front Porch in Five Points has great burgers. Mellow Mushroom on Gervais has awesome pizza. If you want good BBQ, try out Doc's BBQ near the stadium. They have a nice buffet with a large variety of sides. Their pulled pork has been hit or miss over the years, but the last time I went there, it was some of the best I've had from any restaurant. Their catfish nuggets and homemade tarter sauce is the bomb too. Don't bother going to Maurice's for BBQ -- In my humble opinion, Maurice's has some of the worst bbq in SC. Their sauce is the only thing that saves it.

Southern Belley just down from Willy B on Rosewood has awesome one of a kind gourmet BBQ sandwiches. Very cool. Really like it because it is unique. Highly recommend the Django.
