I'm jealous. Wish I was close to some salt water but then I'd probably get fired from work because I'd just want to fish and then would have to sell my egg and everything else I owned....Dyersburg, TN

I thought this was a sheepshead?
My 6 yr old daughter (the redhead) caught this up in northern Michigan this summer . It was her first fish she ever caught! I don't fish but my brother does and he called this a sheepshead.

Different parts of the world call the same thing by different names. Look up red fish. In the Gulf we call those sheepshead.______________________________________________I love lamp..

That's what we call sheepshead up here. I've gone fishing with my buddy who lives in Wisconsin for them. That's exactly what I pictured when seeing the word sheepsheadmarysvilleegger said:I thought this was a sheepshead?

I grew up in FL and we fished for sheepshead around the pilings on bridges and piers. They come up from under the bait, crush the fiddler crab with those teeth, and suck out the meat. Most times you don't even feel it. My dad always told me I had to set the hook before they bite.Someone had a nice touch to put those in the cooler!
