Leftover Piece of Flat
Had this leftover piece of flat in the freezer, so I thought I'd try @EggObsessed's Brisket Chili. Penderey's seems like real good chili powder. That's a definite repeat and lots left in the freezer. The flat was tasty, but undoubtedly chili brisket.

That chili gets better with age. Have a hunk o meat cooking now mostly so I can make that chili if it ever gets cool here in NGA.

The recipe calls for 2.5# of smoked brisket. I put it in the frig overnight and you make the basic chili and then add chopped up brisket and let it cook up for about 3 hrs.fergi said:Nice looking chili @logchief. How did you process the flat after cooking?
