Weather is finally accommodating for serving chili at our upcoming tailgate and the kick-off isn't at high noon!! So here is my question - other than the obvious - what do you serve with your chili?
We have the standards - BEER, BEER, corn bread, sour cream, shredded cheese, chips, and of course more BEER. But what do you serve along with your chili?

Cornbread. Always cornbread!
Yes, I know you listed it. But, that's just pure money with chili.
Apps maybe ABTs or a slight variation with burnt ends.

Serve it as Chili Mac! Make it into a meal!
Cook a pile of spaghetti and let folks built it to suit.... pasta, good helping of chili, self serve cheese, beans, onions, jalapenos, hot sauce, etc.
It's awesome.

There is a restaurant franchise around us called Hard Times that serves their chili this way. Now it's how we always do it at home. I usually have a plate that looks like one of the above, and then I follow up with a bowl of just chili...for desert.

Wow - great suggestions - keep 'em coming!! I found a recipe for a twist on ABTs - involves a cornbread mixture spooned into the jalapenos and roasted until the bread is cooked -anyone had that before?

I tried something a while back on the egg that should have been better than it was. (I overcooked it.) It was a Vidalia Onion Upside Down Cornbread. You cook it in a cast iron skillet. Might be an item you could pre-cook and warm up on the MM. PM me if interested in the recipe.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

This is a great appetizer to go with it. We make this quite often. We use Skyline chili here, but you could use any chili really. A bag of Tostito's scoops and you're good to go!

I'm not even hating, but Skyline is the worst food I've ever had. I gagged through 2 bites. Diarrhea Sludge is too kind of a term for that dreck.YEMTrey said:LoL. That's great!
