While it is certainly true that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, sometimes its harder to receive forgiveness than it is permission. Unfortunately it works both ways.

Unfortunately I have had to learn the hard way my friend. The old adage "live and learn" rings loud and true.

  • Wilma works nights.  I got up early Saturday morning and met her as she was coming home.  I was going out to buy some woodworking parts from a guy on CL in Kalamazoo.  I then went to Grand Rapids for another CL find.  The guy in Kzoo sold me a lot more than I told Wilma about for only $20.  So it wasn't the money.  Our garage is a disaster we both contribute to, but it's mostly me.  I was busy disassembling my new treasures when Wilma woke up and went to see what I was doing.  She looked at all the new stuff that would further add to the disastrous garage.  I got no "Good morning" or "Hi",  I got "What the He11??"

The Stoker was a tough cost to swallow.... but, i'll tell you that it was worth every cent.

Love to have control over it everywhere I go.  I get better sleep, and just plain don't worry about it anymore.

I'm a Shopsmith guy.  I was looking for some way tubes to wall-mount an extra headstock & old table I have to make a dedicated drill press.  I ended up with an entire "Greenie" that doesn't work I'll use for parts.  The other thing I bought was a decent deal on a Shopsmith strip sander.  It's a great system for a hobbyist.
