Another egg (loving) rookie

So, it wasn't long before the love affair materialized and the LBGE followed me home. We're still getting to know each other but so far it's all about sheer joy and nothing less.
I am certainly not cooking every day, but I've tried pork butt, porchetta, steaks (pork and beef), burgers and - potatoes!
Just sharing (yes, with pride!) some pictures of some of it.
The burgers were lean minced meat with some bacon mixed into it, and the Egg perfected it!
The porchetta was enjoyed with garlic potatoes and a fennel/cucumber salad.
The sirloin steaks were quite thin but I managed to not dry them out (next time thicker steaks and higher heat for better searing). Potato gratin and some caramelised onion finished off with some red wine, balsamic winegar and tart lingonberries (try it!). Did the South African Pinotage hurt? No.

@JMJ- Most eggcellent. You have definitely sorted this rig out. Congrats on the LBGE but more important participating here. The flow of knowledge goes both ways although the flow of $$ is definitely outbound.

Welcome to the Hotel BGE. It is the place where OCD cooks congregate. The cost to enter is nothing like the cost to stay. Have fun, this place is loaded with people that know everything about anything (I am so serious) and are so willing to help. Again welcome to the best forum ever."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
