Wrapping ribs in paper instead of foil

So I was watching Franklin's brisket videos where he wraps his briskets in butcher paper and it got me thinking, what if I wrapped my baby backs in paper instead of foil? Was wondering if anyone else had done the same and if so if the results were any different. I've got some ribs on now and if I don't use foil I'll use a paper Kroger bag (read on BBQ-Brethren they work well as a substitute). Let me know what ya'll's thoughts are. Obviously will use 2 2 1 method.

For me, I only wrap beef ribs in paper. I've used paper for ribs and found it left my seasoning splothcy as rub was stuck to the paper. There is a reason why Aaron and his peers use foil. For beef ribs, you have more bark development due to the longer cook, so paper isn't a problem.
Like many,I have experimented with wrapping in foil and what not, but I prefer naked. I just spritz them to keep the surface from drying out.
Give it a whirl though and see what you think! Good luck!Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
Oh, while some use 221 still, a lot have found that 2 hours is too much to be wrapped in foil on the egg. Food for thought.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....

Thanks for the info. Ended up still wrapping the in foil, I'll have to try paper when I'm the only one eating in case they just don't turn out well.
