OT - What's the thing with forks?

I don't want to be an ill mannered boor - so tell me why forks in a photo are such a no no. That seems generate comments. This is a genuine question by the way.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...

    @SciAggie- this is a genuine answer...there is one forum participant who has a big aversion to a forkin' picture.  I believe it is @Buckeye... Granted I do not recall him addressing the issue but do not let such concerns interfere with any pics you desire to take.  Have fun and when in doubt "fork it".

    Yes someone has issue with it. Especially if it's been in your mouth. And maybe bite pictures also. Maybe it's a sanitary thing. I out a giant serving fork in a pic once just poke fun. It is kinda gross.

    Pay no mind to the fork aversion, it is just one man's weakness oozing out at the seams.

    Forks should be as common as plates, unless posting ribs or pizza.  Because who the fork eats those with a utensil.

    Sporks are strictly off-limits.

    I believe he has since clarified that a clean fork is OK, but dirty forks are no-no
    Lots of rules around here: take lots of pictures.  but not of forks.  save political threads for friday nights so we can enjoy them with our weekends :)

    I beg to differ, please show me your dirty forks.
    I want to see meat juices/gravy/ bbq sauce etc on them prongs.
    Heck even a bit of saliva won't bother me.

    And if you have an electron microscope, feel free to zoom in on those delicious microbes. :grin:

    If you really want to stir the pot, try digging in to the mangrates or t-shirts issue. Your thread will stay at the top for DAYS :smiley:

    (its all in jest. most folks here are relatively thick-skinned. Those who aren't, are probably cooking on gassers).

    Somebody has a thing against forks?  How did I miss that?  There is a knife and fork in almost all my cook pics.
