Country style ribs?

jabam
jabam Posts: 1,829
Wife brought home some country style ribs, never done them before. I'm on the iPhone and as far as I can tell there is no search function on the mobile site. So any one have any suggestions. Was thinking of going indirect at 300 and cook till 190 IT.

If they are loin cut, you can simply grill them direct or raised direct until they hit 160 internal.

You can cook them indirect if you so desire, but they grill up great so I do them direct on my mini or raised direct on the large.

@jabam Not trying to beat a dead horse, but if you have never cooked them before, you can also reverse sear them like a steak. Cook indirect until you are within 10 degrees of target and then sear. This method is almost fool proof and produces excellent results on the loin cut ribs. Hey they are a winner no matter which way you chose to go.

Thanks guys. Best decision I've made in my life. It was time I grew up and became a husband to my wife and father to my children. Still miss it from time to time but the benefits outweigh the cost by far.

Still miss it from time to time
The desire and temptation never goes away entirely with any addiction. It's always a struggle. But stay strong my brother and navigate the true and straight course. There are times that I still have the urge to do things that once controlled my life. When those moments hit, I pause for a moment and recall a verse in the Bible that helps put my mind to ease. The verse reads:
"For all things I have the strength to conquer by virtue of Him who imparts power unto me". PHIL 4:13.
You are not alone my friend.

    Those look great, @Egger_Girl

We did these bone-in CSRibs this afternoon.  Didn't baste, just moistened with teriyaki sauce and then rubbed with leftover rib rub.  Pulled at 160°

Ours tasted good, but yours look juicier.
    Ah, well.

@Sardonicus and @SGH thank you.  By the way, wings done on the egg have become a favorite at our house.  Your cook looks delicious too!
