Eugene Ledbetter was walking through the woods when he tripped and fell into a great ravine. He was able to catch and hold onto a branch that was dangling from above. This is all that stood between him and plummeting to his death. Try as he might, he did not have the strength to pull himself up and he was growing tired rapidly. Knowing that time was running out and that he needed a miracle to keep from falling to his certain death, he did what most folks would do in his position. He called out for help, but no one answered. He called out again, but still no answer. Really desperate and his grip failing fast, he decided to call out to God. He looked toward the heavens and as loud as he could holler he said: Is there any one up there to listen to me, I need some help. And to his amazement, Eugene heard a calm and reassuring voice descend from the heavens above. It said: Son, have faith and turn a loose. At first, he thought that he misunderstood what the voice had said, so he called out again: Is there anyone up there to listen to me, I need some help. And again, the calm voice spoke down and said: Son, I say again, have faith and turn a loose. Eugene being the quick thinker that he was, looked up and called out for help again, but this time much louder as he was really desperate. He said: Is there anyone else up there that I can speak to.
