Early brisket and butt

Had a bunch of people want to do things to catch up lately due to the circumstances. One of my best friends has been tied up with life for him, but we decided we're going to get together and eat, along with my brother and more close friends. Looking forward to except we always included my Mom too for these events, which is going to make it tough.
We have talked about wanting a brisket so I went and got one to cook.
About an 11lb choice rubbed with Grand Champion from TexasBBQ compliments of @cazzy from the rub exchange.
Some hickory for smoke as I don't have any oak.

Awesome.. Butt is done already and the brisket is getting there too. Only about 3 to 4 hours ahead of schedule.
Time to warm the cooler and apply towels.------------------------------

Dang brisket is done now.. Crap.. weird cook for sure. Went on around 2am and done now. Not much of a stall either.

@tarheelmatt - don't know your brisket cook temp but at around 270*F on the calibrated dome I have been seeing around 0.7hrs/lb of late. Last 3 packers have been in that area. I plan for an hour/lb and come up early every time. I know @TexanOfTheNorth has seen this as well. Better early than late-and with a pre-warmed cooler and that volume of meat you will be just fine. Enjoy the eats.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

@lousubcap well, the last packer went a little over an hour per lb.
This went 250 for the duration, at grate.
Every piece of meat is different I know, but this was interesting. You're right though, good to already be done. Now I can coast until we head over to my friends.------------------------------

Didn't do the best job at picture taking with this cook. My camera is in route to Nikon and I don't really remember I have a camera on my phone.
Best brisket to date. Think wrapping in paper was the ticket. Also, this rested in the oven and cooler for 7 hrs.
