Where do you guys store your "stuff"

Hey Everyone,

I was curious where you all store your eggcessories?  I know the usual place is in your egg, but do you have a storage shed or cabinet that can withstand the elements for the stuff you can't fit?  I'm looking around and didn't know if the products offered at Lowes or Home Dept are worthwhile or functional.

Thanks,

Fort Mill, SC

I'm looking into a deck box for my grilling patio. The gear is accumulating quickly.

Mine is strung out everywhere. Some is on the front porch, some is on the carport, some is on the egg table. Heck some is even in the house. Sadly I'm not real organized.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

I put up a few shelves in the basement as the egg is just outside that door.
  • Deck box for lump and wood chips.
Everything else goes in the egg with exception of the plate setter after a direct cook. It then goes on the table shelf. Not like I have to worry about it getting wet here.

My egg is in a nest, so I store the platesetter and pizza stone in the little racks that hook into the side of the nest.  I have a tub for lump that keeps rain out but doesn't seal completely and I keep wood chunks and other stuff in a deck box.  Chimney starter and raised grate just sit out on low retaining wall.

One of these days I will build a table that I can slide tubs under, hang grates on, etc. I'll keep the egg in the nest though.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

I bought two of these ziplock weathertight boxes from Wal*Mart.  I picked the sizes that fit under my table and my stuff. They stay outside with no issues. They have a gasket in the lid. I use one for clean utensils and on for dirty items.

And of course, my PS, grids, DW, and ManGrates live in my egg.

This is a tool box that I've used on two different trucks, so that makes it at least 25 years old. It now serves as my eggccessory storage vault.  Let's just say that I've gotten my money's worth out of this thing. It's going to outlast me, I think.

My egg sits between the house and a detached garage. I have a shelf decated just inside the garage door (owner entrance not auto). Working on a design to move the med out of the nest and into a more permanent table....will move chit there at some point.

I use something smaller but similar to store everything for my small and kettle.  Just grab and go when camping.  Got tired of grabbing all the grilling/food stuff each time.  Keep two bags each of lump and Kingsford in the storage compartment on the front of my camper.  Stays dry in the back of the truck too, great for CI, wood, paper products in there. Again, got tired of moving the egg stuff to shelter when the rain comes.

To the OP, I keep all of my grill stuff indoors, mostly in cupboards, and  a spare bedroom closet.  Also store all of the smoke wood, lump/briquettes in my shed.

My egg is in a nest and lives in the garage. I roll it out to cook. This item is on my list to purchase this week: http://t.homedepot.com/p/Husky-27-in-4-Drawer-All-Black-Tool-Cabinet-H4TR2R/204648170
i can store my stoneware cloche, platesetter, CI, paella pan, and various stuff. I'll get the hardwood top. This way I can roll it out with the egg and use it as a prep table.

The main function of my gasser is to keep my eggcessories handy and close to my eggs.

A while back I bought an old Austin healey race car. It was really only good for parts. So I cut it up. I cut it vertically behind the drivers seat so that the whole back end is intact. I'm working on turning it into a deck box.
