I'm 5 months into BGE ownership.............with 30+ years of grilling and smoking experience. I found myself bound and tied by BGE temps and methods posted here when I bought my Egg - to the point of obsession. I forgot to just cut loose and cook like I'm used to doing.
To all the BGE noobs............your prior grilling experience will serve you well. Don't get too wrapped up in the science posted here. Just cook it and enjoy. Your BGE will serve you well.

I have to agree. Folks get caught up in all of the psycho babble and pseudo non sense. Just sit back and relax and have a good time. Hey it's just cooking, not brain surgery.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.
The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -

Could not agree more.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada
