Latest Tri Tip cook

My wife piicked up a tri-tip for dinner today. It was on the small side as tri-tips go. (1.8 lbs) Cooked direct below the felt line at 350. Unfortunately, the thin size caught me off guard and it hit 125 before I knew it. Pulled it, ramped the temp up to 650 and reverse seared for about 90 seconds on each side. It was still very good albeit more towards medium as opposed to medium rare which is what I would have preferred.
