Ribeye Cook on the New Cast Iron Grate

Picked up a new CI grate for the Medium BGE today and had to try some Ribeye's on it .

They were rubbed with Lane's Ancho Expresso Rub.  Vegetables were a few of the same as I had with the BeerButt chicken, but I had to use them up.  Besides we like the variety.

We enjoyed the helloutta the steaks.  It won't be the last time I use the Lane's rub on steaks for sure.

I think the CI is a hit.  Love that sound of the sizzle when the steaks hit the grate.  Temp fluctuated at bit with the opening and closing, but the IR temp gun said the grate cooled very little.  When I turned them I still had that good sizzle.  The Lane's Ancho was a hit here too.  Nice little crust on the surface.

Thanks guys, we were happy with them.  I saved a nice size piece of mine last night and am now getting ready to make a sandwich.  I just put ribs on and figured this and a beer would be good while I watch and wait.
