Whats up guys?. So I've decided on getting a minimax to take on the road cAmping with our popup camper because I can't stand using the gasser that came with it. Anyone else take there's on the road and how difficult is it to maneuver around? It weighs about 80 lbs right?
Guess I'll need a woo etc from CGS as well.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

It ain't light, but mines been on two road trips for over 1000 miles. No issues. For long distance walking 2 people are better.

I bought mine for tailgating and camping. 8 trips, 100% awesome!"Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

We take ours everywhere with us. I can manage it by myself but, if there are two people on the trip it becomes much easier.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

You can definitely do it by yourself, but like @NPHuskerFL said, a second person is better.Houston, Texas

Do you'll think the plate setter is necessary or buying the parts from the ceramic grill store legit?
-
I am thinking of getting one myself and where can you purchase the cart?

I too have been taking this on the road, which was one of the main reasons why I had gone with the MM (which I also used to justify to my significant other for buying yet another one) I've been seatbelting the MM with a piece of wood under and behind the MM with a piece of cloth over the back hinge to keep from squeaking around every turn. Also put cardboard on the inside separating all the ceramic parts. And a bucket with cover to keep extra lump. I've also got this portable, collapsible wagon to tote it around when moving it to and fro: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=23203456. Also got this table from home depot to take with us too so I don't have to cook on the ground which I also use at home: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-1-8-ft-x-3-ft-Portable-Jobsite-Workbench-225047/205887786

I love my MM. I move it myself most of the time but then again I'm in perfect shape and work out every day (lol...yeah right). I remove all the insides to carry it, then replace them and put a strap around it and strap in the back of my truck. Pretty easy that way. I carry lump in one of these to keep the back of the truck clean. http://www.amazon.com/Buddeez-Kingsford-Kadddy-Charcoal-Dispenser/dp/B00HQE1QT2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438353291&sr=8-1&keywords=charcoal+caddy
Get it, you will not regret it.

I am just two weeks into a one month tour of British Columbia. My MM rides in the back seat with the Weimaraner. I clean it out after each use and have no trouble getting it in and out of the truck by myself. I put some rocks under it so as not to damage the fine tables B.C. parks provides in their campsites which actually doubles as a warming oven for your potatoes/vegetables while your steak is searing.LBGE,Mini Max,Stoker Meadow Lake Sask.

My picures did not load so I had to come out to the ocean and sit on a rock for better LTE coverage.LBGE,Mini Max,Stoker Meadow Lake Sask.

If you have Rhino Lining or some other type of nonskid liner and are driving mostly highway, just put in the back of the truck in a corner near the cab. The low center of gravity and weight keep it in place. Do not trust the feet covers for a nonskid measure. I think there purpose is to prevent scratching a table. They last about five minutes, especially if you're just trying to reposition it without fully picking it up.Steven

The reason mine rides in the cab is that I have a 10 foot truck camper in the box. I just couldn't leave the little guy at home.LBGE,Mini Max,Stoker Meadow Lake Sask.

I love taking mine places, it is easy with 2 people but can be done with one._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide
