Floated to Neuroland the other day and saw this recipe in a Cooking Light mag. Thought it was a cool rip on watermelon salad.
http://www.cookinglight.com/food/how-to-make-grilled-watermelon-pizza-video
Figured with the heat and humidity why not give it a whirl with some house Berkshire and peach cold smoked Bleu.

300 indirect

520ish standard direct to sear

Plated on the 6 piece Pottery Barn Pizza Plates found new in the box at the Salvation Army for $2.95

Tons of funky flavors goin' on, will do again.

Thanks for lookin'

@pgprescott,
Thanks, too kind. It was a fun cook.
Mas(son) wasn't big on the bleu. But after removal, took care of business as usual.

Did you chill the watermelon before eating? Just asking I have grilled watermelon before and it was better after it was chilled. Thanks for the idea something else I can tweak and make for my wife on the grill.

Brother, that looks par excellent. Those pics are spectacular as well. People are going to think that I'm getting soft in my old age for giving a non meat cook the SOA, but this cook more than deserves it. With that said:

I like the twist! The combination I can dig without a doubt. Good price on those plates. I never mind dropping in a 2nd hand store to score some goodies! Hollin' bout huh, water what!? Huh, give a melon pizza what!?
That looks incredible my friend. I'm all about funky flavors.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Thanks V! Amazing what you can find. Got a nice older Schwinn mountain bike from the garbage last week. After some air, lubrication, and running it through the gears, works just fine. Perfect for riding on the public hunting grounds.BrandonQuad Cities

Ok, no watermelon and no eggs? The later I find peculiar due to your handle.theyolksonyou said:Ok, that's cool. I despise watermelon, but it's a cool cook! -
@pgprescott I think you confused my post with scottie's. He said he dint like eggs, and I replied with surprise. I have no problem with eggs.
I actually like watermelon candy, gum etc.. Just not actual watermelon. It's the texture, I think. -
Right you are! Just kidding anyhow. Cheers!theyolksonyou said:@pgprescott I think you confused my post with scottie's. He said he dint like eggs, and I replied with surprise. I have no problem with eggs.
