We got more grilling done by 10:00 A.M. than most do all day,

because today's forecast called for a Heat Index of 105°!


To grill outdoors in that kind of weather,

you'd have to be goofy.


Soooo . . . lit the Egg around 8:00 A.M.

400° direct


You recognize salmon, of course.


These were on sale.

Labeled "Thin-sliced Eye of Round Steaks".

Whatever.  They're okay.


Lately, asparagus has become a staple around here.






Vanilla ice cream awaits these two sliced Fuji apples which were grilled and then

basted with 1/3 cup of Captain Curt's HOT  BBQ sauce and 3 TBSP of honey.




The Egg was shut down, cleanup was completed, humans and canine were safely indoors by 10:30 A.M.


If you really want to grill in that kinda heat and humidity, go right ahead.


We won't judge.

    We are 101-ish here today. We made breakfast tacos for breakfast (inside) and I bought boars head deli sammies for lunch. We are in the pool drinking titos soda. In the words of the great Merle Haggard: "I think I'll just stay here and drink"

    Looks fantastic.  Heat index 105 here.  May car and truck are black, it was pure misery getting in those today.
