looking to replace a Large Egg thermometer, and all it seems I can find is the 2" dial. I'm looking for something with larger dial, but I assume the same probe length. any recs or links would be great.

You can try the Tel-Tru site. They make a ton of different ones but I'm not sure you'll find the dial size vs. stem size you're looking for.

I picked up the smokeware one and love it. It has a real big face that I can see from inside the house for those quick temp checks on overnight smokes. I checked the calibration before installing it and it was dead on too, which was nice.

Tel-try has a massive dial thermo that people use. Search the forum off your desktop.

+1 on the Smokeware thermo ... I've got about 6 months on mine with no calibration drift or other problems ... and, the price is right.

I've had the Smokeware for a while as well. It works fine and the price is right as @Jeepster47 said.

IMO, the oversized ones are a waste of money. Your egg came with a TelTru, a very nice thermo. All you have to do is remove the pointless spring clip from the probe and then rotate the thermo so your desired temp is at 12 o'clock. You may not be able to read the temp at a distance, but you can tell if the needle is straight up.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

@mshump ... wait 'til winter sets in ... you'll love the easiness to read from inside the warm house even more.
