Just got the large bge a few weeks ago. Went into the local store still unsure of which one I was going to end up with, a traeger, kamado or egg. After seeing all three, i decided not to over think it and just went with the egg. Best purchase I've made in a real long while. Looking online for recipes when i came across this site and it's already been used several times. Thanks for adding me, i can't wait to talk and swap recipes.
Here's a few I've done already...
Smoked hickory turkey breast. Tried those jack Daniels wood chunks, got a "free" bag with my egg purchase.

Hey brother ... great looking cooks! Don't forget to foil the plate setter with HDAF or use a larger drip pan, once the fat dripping get on the plate setter it can get really nasty looking along with a rancid smell.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Awesome looking cooks. The apple dumplings are one of my favorites. Also peach cobber in my DO. Actually everything I've ever cooked on the egg is my favorite !!!! Blueberry crunch is awesome, as well !
