If I didn't have a small I would own a mini max. We have a small, mini and large and for the two of us the mini and the small get used the most. The large is reserved for big cooks.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

I have a large and added the MM, best decision by far. Both get lots of use, but the MM is awesome and very handy for small cooks or sides!Large BGE 2011, XL BGE 2015, Mini Max 2015, and member of the "North of the Border Smokin Squad" Canadian Outdoor Chef from London, Ontario, Canada

Yep, I'm in line with the others...I just added the MM to my large recently. I'm really glad I did.Large BGE 2013; Mini Max 2015; Adj Rig; DigiQ

It really comes down to the quantity that you are going to cook and your intended purpose of a second egg. With that said, my mini gets all of the searing work. The mini is a outstanding searing machine. I like to do my indirect work on the large due to volume and head room while the mini is standing by already up to temp for the sear. I'm a huge fan of the little mini. However if for some reason I could only have one egg and the choice was limited to between the mini and the mm, I would probably go with the mm just for the capacity. With all of the above said, the little mini is far and away my most used egg. It is also my favorite egg by any measure. However as with most things, it has its limits. Sometimes a different size is the better choice depending ones needs.

If you arent gonna carry it around a lot I would still look at a small and compare it also. Usually significantly cheaper for same grid size. Just my two cents.

A freaking GREED. To go back I'd have chosen a small. Hell if warranties transferred, I'd swap for a small.Biggreenpharmacist said:If you arent gonna carry it around a lot I would still look at a small and compare it also. How much are the minis and mini-maxes running? I've seen the minis at $400 here, but haven't seen a mini-max in stock anywhere.

I just picked up mini with nest for $309 a few weeks ago at Scheels in Springfield ILElgin, Illinois

I have a large and MM. The cooking space on the mini was too small for me. The MM has been great for all types of cooks, even low and slow.LBGE | DigiQ | SW Cap | KAB | iGrill2 | CI PS | PSWoo2 | HQ Grid | Extender

My MM gets more use than the large even though I like using the large more. I took the MM on the road yesterday for the first time. For me it's a two man operation to move the MM. I made some pig shots. These things exceed the hype.
