I'm throwing a birthday bbq. I'm expecting about 40-50 family/friends. So far my plans are: 8-10 pounds of wings, two 15 pound briskets, and then hotdogs, corn on the cob, potatoes, asparagus, and plenty of beer and bourbon. And dessert. I'm still planning and shopping, but looking forward to a lot of fun.

Not sure about the 4th as we will be over at a friend's house. But we are having people over tomorrow and keeping the menu fairly simple:

    BBQ Chicken
    Armadillo Eggs
    Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots
    Potato Salad
    Coleslaw

My Bishop at church (he was my first Pastor when I turned my life around about 23 years ago) told me he was picking up a prime rib for me to add to the arsenal for Saturday's 4th cook !!!1  I am excited as I had just been talking about wanting to cook my first one.

Doing pizzas at the pool but I realized that's not very American. Pretty sure I am gonna do cheeseburger pizzas to bring it back home. The good fireworks will be legal in GA July 1st so it's gonna be good.
Was not aware of fireworks law changes. I used to live over there....but lay my head down in the home state of SC now. Guess all those fireworks stores on the state boarders will be boarding up soon. Be safe.
