How Deep Do I Need To Go?

I'm planning on buying a large egg and am trying to determine the appropriate height for the table as I am in a wheelchair so I need to be sure it is low enough so that I can reach far enough into the egg as I need to. I saw a large egg in the BGE mahogany table and the cooking surface height is fine. I can easily reach and work on the grate and can open and close the lid with no problems. I am concerned about how deep I will need to reach into the egg for maintenance, cleaning, etc. This is my first egg so I'm not entirely familiar with the day-to-day needs.

So, how deep will I need to reach into the egg on a regular basis? I can stand for short periods and get all the way in when necessary for a seasonal or once-in-a-while events, but I want it to be convenient for regular use. Here's an image to make it easy to say which is the deepest part I will need to access on a regular basis from the top of the unit. Please don't hesitate to let me know what additional information I can provide to help you answer my question better - no need to be embarrassed or shy about asking personal questions since what I'm asking obviously may require some additional details. Thanks!

If you have an ash tool, or shop vac, the primary maintenance will be done thru the bottom vent.
You will need to pull everything out on occasion to clean behind the firebox. There will be debate in how often, but I'm pretty lazy. Again, after it's out the bottom vent provides access. -
Personally I am reaching down to the fire grate level before very cook to clean out ash and unclog the firebox holes. I imagine others might be different but something like a kick ash basket might be very useful for you.

Yeah - kick ash basket is on the list for sure. And I do plan on using a shop vac to clean ash as recommended in another thread. Thanks! Two Large Eggs, 6 gal Cajun Fryer, and a MiniMax in Charlotte, NC - My New Table

I've thought about rigging up a small hose for a shop vac that could snake around between the firebox and the base. You could go a long time without pulling the internals. That and the KAB would be an awesome set up.
