I just got a Mini Max but I have a question...

I just received my new MM for Fathers Day.  She had to get the display model because they were sold out.  I noticed it didn't come with an ash tool or grill gripper.  They are supposed to aren't they???

    You guys gotta be kidding me.  $590 and they don't even throw in an ash tool and grate gripper?

    At least you didn't have to pay more than the going price.

    By " display model" you mean one already assembled for you at no cost? It's not like it was used, right? I would love to sell all our products out of the box. It's a real burden to assemble all the grills. Some like the box for transport reasons, but most like them assembled.

    Oh, did they include the plate setter? That is not included either. Just the egg and carrier. They might have bundled the PS in the sale.

    It was brand new.  They had sold out of them so they sold the wife the display which worked great because I don't have to assemble it.

    It did come with the plate setter as well.

    Oh yes, very happy with it!  Have to go to my parents for lunch right now, but I am thinking wings tonight for the inaugural cook.

    Hey you got assembly!  That's something... I bought a floor model too.  After the stress of building my Large I didn't want to go through that again.

    That's why I committed treason and got a Kamado Joe Jr. rather than the MiniMax.

    $450, brand new, already assembled (in the box), ash tool, grill gripper, "plate setter".

    Nice little rig. Do wish they still sold them in black tho.

    @HeavyG, that's what I did also.
    However, as impatient as I am, I got tired of waiting for the MM to b available out here.
    I would never want to be without my Large Egg, but I truly enjoy KJ, Jr for just the two of us, and appreciate it's portability.

    Be happy, in europe we pay 760 Euro for the MM, with a bit of luck you get a book and some tools with it.

    You're talking $15-20 bucks. Tell your dealer. They'll give them to you or your about a few bucks.

    Welcome. Got a egg and plate setter $525. My dads was $500 with plate setter ash tool starters and a bag of 20lb lump. My brother negotiates better than me.
