They have a lot of nerve selling that stuff by the pound.

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.
Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.

BS. I have been using RO for the better part of 5 years. It's cheap, it's easy to find locally, it does not get delivered smashed to dust by the FedEx gorilla, it's easy to light and it does a great job. I have never seen a rock in any bag I've bought. Not one. No other foreign substance either. And I've been through a LOT of lump.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Agree 100% with Carolina Q. Been using RO for over 10 years.LBGE Huntsville, AL

I have nothing against RO, buy it when on sale. I can't believe you have never found any foreign objects. There is always some small stones in pretty much all brands of lump - well in my experience.Carolina Q said:BS. I have been using RO for the better part of 5 years. Must admit, never had a real bag of dust from RO. It is what it is and it works just fine. Family actually like it for pizza - gives that woodfire taste.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
I too like RO. It's about all I use. Sure I get a rock from time to time. I also get 14 hour cooks with some left over.Blue Ridge, GA

Just FYI guys this is a joke thread that @apinion posted the same day as he posted the thread "went to Ozark Oak today" with the pictures of The Ozark Oak facility still producing charcoal.
Nothing to to get bent out of shape over.

I just make my own lump from locally sourced hardwoods. Easy peasy.

I couldn't resist making a joke threat about RO since I had just went to the motherland of OO. It was way too tempting.
I too will use RO when on sale, otherwise I do love me some OO.Louisianian by birth, Louisianian by death. Austinite for now... -
